Annual Global Conference 2008 – Doctoral Symposium Tentative Agenda

Prior to CSCMP’s Annual Global Conference, CSCMP sponsors a symposium for doctoral candidates majoring in logistics-related fields of study. Nominations for students are solicited from academics around the world who teach graduate studies.

The objectives of the symposium are to:

  • offer an opportunity for students to develop a richer understanding of the logistics discipline
  • provide a forum in which doctoral students in transportation and logistics will have an opportunity to dialogue with academic and practitioner leaders
  • provide an opportunity for building a network of academic and nonacademic contacts
  • expose students to research policy, techniques, and approaches
  • build a level of professionalism and awareness of issues, challenges, and opportunities in the logistics discipline

For more information about participating in the Doctoral Symposium, please contact (kmcinerney@cscmp.org), CSCMP’s education and research assistant.
