A Panel Discussion: Reverse Logistics: Front and Center

Best Practices in E-Commerce Returns Management Join CSCMP and this panel of speakers to learn about the latest trends and technologies that top companies are using to effectively handle returns, making the returns process a competitive differentiator.  In its latest report, “Forrester Data: Online Retail Forecast, 2017 to 2022,” Forrester predicts that e-commerce will account for 17.0% of retail sales by 2022, up from a projected 12.9% in 2017. Many retailers and e-retailers are struggling to keep up with online order volumes alone, but what about returns? The average retailer see returns rates in the high single digits. In certain industries such as apparel, for instance, this rate can be much higher. The problem is that many e-retailers lack the systems, processes, and expertise to manage returned goods effectively.  Those retailers that can find a formula for communication, speed, efficiency and sustainability in processing e-commerce returns, with a focus on preserving as much value of the merchandise as possible, can capture lost profits and market share.
