CSCMP Explores… and CSCMP Global Perspectives

Freight Consolidation Survey
There seems to be a paucity of published data available concerning inbound consolidation: current practices, financial impacts, service level considerations, coordination among shippers, and freight negotiations. This web-based survey of logistics/supply chain professionals examined these areas and, unlike theoretical academic research which can "assume away" many of the practical difficulties faced by working supply chain professionals, the results from this survey highlight key areas in which applied research focuses on real problems facing today’s supply chain practitioners. Overview of Supply Chain/Logistics-Related Laws and Regulations
Given the success of the CSCMP Explores… issue on transportation-related security issue and the continuing importance of national and international security and regulations within supply chains, this publication provides a basic understanding of the key issues, regulations and laws of relevance to supply chain and/or logistics executives.
