| Session: Why Multi-layered Distribution Works Best in Europe |
| Date: 9/21/2009 (3:45 PM - 5:15 PM) |
W-181a |
| Description: Europe is not a monolithic marketplace. Consumers in each country have distinct cultural requirements and product tastes. A centralized approach to European distribution can create economies of scale, but it is not ideally suited for handling varying national demands for inventory and customer service. Nor can it address growing road congestion and rising transportation costs. In this session speakers offer one solution: a multilayered distribution center supported by regional facilities in select countries. |
