Hands-on demonstrations at University of Arkansas RFID Lab

Note: You must be registered for a session to attend a tour. For those who would like to learn RFID basics or refresh RFID skills, an RFID Primer is available a ½ hour before each tour.

Session#1: 12:30 pm (RFID primer if needed), 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (tour)
Session #2: 2:30 pm (RFID primer if needed), 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (tour)

  • What is RFID? Introduction to the RFID Lab
  • Demonstration of case and pallet portals (using various static and mobile readers)
  • Sweet Spot Testing (Item-level physics)
  • Item-level demonstrations to include:
    • Inventory Practices - Handhelds on rounders, z-bar through doors, shelf readers, RD5000, cycle counting
    • POS system
    • Display signs
    • Question/answer session
