Sam M. Walton College of Business' Donald W. Reynolds Center
Fayetteville, Arkansas USA
October 12-13, 2010

You’ve seen the research. You’ve heard about the benefits. Now it’s time to move beyond RFID awareness and use the technology to improve your supply chain performance – and your bottom line!

Major retailers are beginning to take notice of the significant value that RFID item-level tagging creates. Recently, one of the world’s largest retailers announced that it is quickly moving forward with the implementation of item-level tagging using electronic product code (EPC). This sole initiative will revolutionize inventory management throughout the entire industry.

As more and more retailers adopt this vital supply chain tool, you need to understand how your company can leverage the technology and how it will impact your suppliers, manufacturers, and your customers. There is only one event that will provide you with the inside (RFID) knowledge and the know how to dramatically improve your supply chain—RFID Forum 2010.

You’ll learn:

  • How digital inventory accuracy—through the use of EPC-enabled RFID—can decrease theft, enhance product visibility, and improve speed to market
  • How retailers are influencing suppliers’ perspectives on product tracking
  • How solution providers like Motorola, Avery Dennison, and Tyco are addressing and communicating the practical issues of RFID item-level tagging with their customers
  • How to start a dialogue with your partners about adopting and connecting to the overall RFID technology experience
  • How RFID technology can be a powerful tool for today’s global value chain and what you need to kick-off an effective implementation

What is RFID?
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tagging allows you to identify and track merchandise effectively through the use of radio waves.

*Research has been undertaken by the University of Arkansas RFID Research Center with the combined efforts of VICS, CSCMP, and Dillard’s. So far, the research has pointed to the fact that greater RFID benefits can be derived from item-level tagging.
