Please join the St. Louis Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals for our 2014 Summer Tour. The tour will be conducted on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. This year's will be conducted at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company at 4465 Manchester Avenue in The Grove neighborhood. The tour will be a behind the scenes look at the supply chain facets of operating a craft beer brewery. From the ordering of the ingredients, planning, forecasting, the actual making of the brew, to the distribution. This promises to be an excellent educational event. In February the St. Louis-based craft brewery opened their second brewery a 70,000-square-foot brewhouse at 4465 Manchester Ave., in the former Renard Paper Co. building. The facility houses a production brewery, packaging facility, warehouse and indoor/outdoor retail taste room. The new 60-barrel brewhouse will bring Urban Chestnut's annual capacity to 15,000 barrels, with space to expand to 100,000 barrels.
