Formerly known as the Educators' Conference
CSCMP’s Educators' Conference is now called the Academic Research Symposium (ARS). Held annually in conjunction with CSCMP's Annual Conference, this event has earned a prominent reputation with many academics, as it is an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues and share new research for discussion and feedback. The ARS is proudly considered the premier event for research in supply chain management and logistics (SCML), and is an open event created to bring scholars from all disciplines into the SCML discussion.
The 2017 symposium will embrace research from all areas of business connected to SCML. The Conference Committee is excited to facilitate an event that will examine the past, present, and future innovations that continue to advance the discipline.

The research conducted and published by academics and students continues to move the supply chain management profession forward. CSCMP recognizes outstanding achievements in this area through a number of prestigious awards during the Academic Research Symposium including the Doctoral Dissertation Award, the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award, and the Bernard J. La Londe Award.

2017 Academic Research Symposium Call for Papers
Academics and researchers are invited to submit their current research for consideration to present at this prestigious event. All research submissions (papers, abstracts) will be evaluated on originality, clarity, research design, theoretical and practical contribution. We are especially interested in papers related to supply chain management and its various disciplines, such as logistics and transportation, marketing, operations, and purchasing. Only complete research papers will be considered for the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award awarded to the best research paper of the conference.
The online submission period for the 'Call for Papers' begins February 1, 2017 and are due May 1, 2017. No extensions will be granted.
Academic Research Symposium Submission Guidelines
NEW Cancellation Policy (as of September 24, 2016):
Cancellations received by July 31, 2017 11:59 PM CST – 100% refund
Cancellations received between August 1, 2017 and August 14, 2017 11:59 AM CST – 50% refund
Cancellations received after August 15, 2017 11:59 pm – No Refunds
All cancellations must be made by sending an e-mail to [email protected]
CSCMP memberships are nontransferable and never refunded.
Cancellations of travel and hotel reservations are the sole responsibility of the registrant.
Substitution/Transfer Policy
Registrant substitutions of equal membership levels (from member to member or non-member to non-member) will be accepted only with the written permission of the original registrant minus a $150 transfer fee. Substitutions will not be accepted nor can we accommodate any substitution requests after September 1, 2017. Substitution requests must come from the original registrant and include the original registrant’s name, membership level, and amount paid, plus a completed registration form by the replacement attendee.
