Creating Competitive Advantage/Supply Chain India Insights
CXOs expect their supply chains to create a competitive advantage for their organizations. A number of organizations across sectors in India are deploying successful supply chain strategies to deliver competitive advantage – while overcoming some unique challenges. While this is anecdotally known, there is no comprehensive study on what these leading organizations are doing to achieve success. To develop a better understanding, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Asia Pacific Regional Office and A.T. Kearney undertook a joint study in 2013 to answer three questions: How do organizations define supply chain success today? What are India specific challenges they face? What practices they deploy to overcome these challenges and be successful? This study synthesizes the findings resulting from a study of those organizations in India which are successfully transforming their supply chain and details the salient points emerging from conversations with nearly thirty C-level executives and senior supply chain professionals.
