The Arizona Roundtable has been cleared for takeoff, and we are excited to begin our season with a tour of one of our country’s largest Air Force training grounds, Luke Air Force Base. Mike Udin is the Global Director of Infrastructure/IaaS, Telecom, and Hardware sourcing for Reed Elsevier’s Global Procurement team. With an undergrad in Industrial Engineering and his MBA, he has had an extensive career in Finance and Information Technology. His IT career started by developing an advanced digital camera real-time defect detection and imaging system for DuPont’s Films division in the mid-1990s. A few years later at Procter & Gamble, he implemented a global redesign using digital imaging and workflow via SAP to allow Accounts Payable to process invoices exclusively out of three low-cost business centers and pro-actively manage cash flow from Day 3 up until the payment terms of all invoices. At Hewlett Packard, Mike was an account manager leading a high volume of proposals for their largest IT Outsourcing client as IT services needs arose in the relationship. At SunTrust, Mike was responsible for sourcing the software spend category for the bank. Mike most recently led the tools and process team for eSourcing, Supplier Performance Management, Spend Analytics, the global Supply Contract Repository as well as helping Reed Elsevier divisions leverage electronic workflow and signatures. He continues his passion for technology and innovation in his current role.
