There isn’t a business operating today that isn’t looking to increase productivity and reduce costs. Join CSCMP’s Twin Cities Roundtable on February 18th, as we dive into big data, and share how data normalization can save you and your business time and money. In the transportation industry alone, nearly 30% of documents used are inadequate due to missing or incorrect data, representing a half billion dollars annually in lost revenue or leakage. Legions of clerks are employed to mitigate but not correct, making downstream data useless for logistics and supply chain users. Through a case study, you’ll learn how much data from supply chain is flawed. We’ll look at ways to discover bad or missing data, and demonstrate how one organization benefited from a simple form of normalization, saving $30 million in direct cost. Chris Wilkins, owner of Freight Forge, will present on this hot topic. Chris has over 25 years of experience in the transportation and logistics, including extensive expertise in helping companies leverage leading-edge transportation and supply chain technology to improve their bottom line. www.freightforge.com
