CSCMP Baltimore Roundtable Presents:
Blue Collar Worker Survey Presentation
Thursday, October 17, 2019
Please join the Baltimore CSCMP Roundtable for our next event on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
Kristin Bevens, Division Vice President, America’s largest industrial staffing firm, will present the results of its annual employee opinion survey, "Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker", which gauges preferences and expectations among U.S. hourly workers.
Soliciting over 18,000 responses from workers representing the manufacturing and logistics industries across 45 states, including Maryland and DC, “Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker” is believed to be the largest survey ever conducted on the hourly worker population.
With current strong economic conditions, 7.3 million unfilled jobs, more open jobs than available workers and a 50-year low labor participation rate, demand for blue-collar workers continues to increase.
This timely presentation will provide insights into blue-collar worker preferences in such areas as what is most attractive to these workers when looking for a new job or deciding to remain in the job they are in, their preferences for work schedules and the job factors that motiviate these workers the most.
Information and analysis of wage and employee loyalty / turnover data from the survey will also be presented and discussed, as well as recommendations on how to attract and retain the best workers in the market.
