St. Mary’s Food Bank / CSCMP Volunteer Event
The Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) AZ Roundtable invites you to join us Tuesday, December 12th at 12 p.m. as we help volunteer at St. Mary’s Food Bank.
St. Mary’s Food Bank was founded in 1967 by John van Hengel. 50 years later, St. Mary’s is now one of the largest food banks in the United States and benefits all of Arizona. The volunteer organization offers many volunteer opportunities to prevent hunger in Arizona. In their primary volunteering event, St. Mary’s is able to provide food to nearly 500 non-profits in 13 Arizona counties. By ordering food from their community kitchen, you are able to help assist in a hands-on training program to help adults with barriers to be successfully employed in the food industry.
Lunch will be provided at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Community Kitchen. Assorted sandwiches, chips, dessert, and water will be offered to CSCMP volunteers. Afterwards, the volunteering event will take place at 1 p.m. We will be helping assist in the production line by packing emergency food boxes with non-perishable items, as well as sorting food and replacing bulk produce. This event will be free of charge for volunteers, as we ask you to help donate a couple canned food items for the Food Bank.

DRESS CODE
• Closed toed shoes
• Pants, jeans, or workout attire preferred. No shorts under 7”
