Arizona Roundtable Named 2017 CSCMP Global Challenge Winner

Arizona Roundtable Named 2017 CSCMP Global Challenge Winner The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) announces the Arizona Roundtable as the 2nd Annual Roundtable Global Challenge winner. The challenge, sponsored by APL Logistics , included four international teams competing in a supply chain simulation game.

"All kinds of disasters can affect the success of your company. CSCMP roundtables are full of qualified professionals to handle these disasters through risk management and strategy," says Jochum J. Reuter, director sales & marketing education, Inchainge B.V., makers of the simulation program.

The Global Challenge provides roundtable members a value chain experience that could help them in their real lives. Participating roundtables hosted a simulation game night where members competed in groups of four. The winners at the roundtable level then advance to the next level to compete in the global challenge.

The simulation includes four core categories for teams to address:

  • Analyze risks through probability and impact.
  • Manage risks through prevention and mitigation of effects.
  • Strategy alignment.
  • Assessment of vulnerability through a matrix and value at risk model.

The participating teams included: Germany Roundtable (second place), Illinois Institute of Technology Roundtable (third place) and Southern California Roundtable (fourth place).

The Global Challenge brings together the roundtable community in an enjoyable activity. The winning foursome receives complimentary registration and transportation to the CSCMP EDGE 2017 Supply Chain Conference , on Sept. 24-27, 2017 in Atlanta, Ga.
