Philadelphia Roundtable Presents: Mega Meeting

Topic:  “Pause, Think, Realign, AND Do it All Over Again Tomorrow…” Succeeding in Today’s Supply Chain Environment. Logistics is said to be “Out of Sync” which is the title of the 2022 State of Logistics report issued by CSCMP, and conducted by Penske Logistics. It couldn’t be a more appropriate title on the current state of the nation’s supply chain. Given the constant state of flux we need to Stop – Breathe – Think – and then Do – and Do it Again – until Success is achieved. Mark’s speech will provide the details on how to do this in today’s challenging global environment. Key Note speaker -  MARK S. BRAXA PRESIDENT and CEO, COUNCIL OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS (CSCMP) Mark’s experience in Supply Chain leadership spans 40 years. In that time, he has led teams in sales, customer service, logistics, distribution, global trade operations & compliance, procurement, sustainability, supplier diversity, supply chain training, and supply chain strategy. This includes 24 years with CSCMP as the Chairman of the Board. He also serves as Vice-Chairman St Louis University Center of Supply Chain Excellence, and Northwestern University NUTC Business Advisory Council board member, and has served as global board member for WEConnect International, consistent with his belief in the value diversity brings to the supply chain.

The USS Orleck has been docked on the Northbank since the end of March, and visitors will soon have a chance to experience what life was like on board. The work is still underway to get this ship to reflect the Vietnam War era. The tour will also include a stop at the Pilot House where sailors steered the USS Orleck. The ship is currently on the Northbank, and it will eventually move to its permanent home at the Shipyards. However, there is still no timetable for when that move will happen.
