EVENT OVERVIEW:

You are often told to think outside the box or even in the box.  Now is the time to think about the BOX!  Packaging Corporation of America is opening the doors of its Lithonia, GA Specialty Plant operation to tell and show us more than just how a box is made on Thursday, November 14th.

PCA is currently the third largest manufacturer of containerboard in the US with 6 Paper Mills and over 90 converting facilities, with 3 in metro Atlanta.  This facility is ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000 certified, GFSI Compliant as well as SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) Certified.  They can provide virtually any product size and style in variations from the traditional brown corrugated box, as well as high-graphics packaging, and creative high graphic displays.

This operation produces packaging for a wide range of industries from auto parts to refrigerators, and candy to the Kitchen sink, always with an eye to a sustainable solution. 

As part of the presentation you will receive an overview of PCA, Containerboard Market Overview/Industry trends, recycled vs. virgin linerboard impacts on the supply chain, shelf impact of graphics, and Right boxing for the Right purpose.

On the tour you will see and hear about their product sample lab, process checks & quality systems, and the box production area including printers, die cutters, flexo-folder/gluers and specialty gluing equipment.

*You will need to complete a Non-disclosure and as this is a food safe operation you will be required to support PCA’s GMP compliances. The documents will be emailed to you prior to the event for review.

*The registration list will be reviewed by PCA and if they feel you are in a competitive situation you may be asked not to attend, and you will have your registration fees refunded.
