TransCelerate Wins Supply Chain Innovation AwardTM at CSCMP’s EDGE Conference

Lombard, Illinois USA (October 10, 2017) – TransCelerate, with team members from Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, & GlaxoSmithKline, won first place in the Supply Chain Innovation Award™ competition at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) EDGE Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.

The award process begins with companies’ submitted cases, which are reviewed by a panel consisting of members of CSCMP’s Research Strategies Committee and the editorial board of SupplyChainBrain, a leading supply chain management publication. Six finalists are selected to present their innovation cases at CSCMP’s EDGE Conference as the final leg of the competition.  From that pool, a winner and runner-up are selected.  This award process has recognized more than 90 companies, as finalists, for their successes in implementing innovative solutions that have produced quantifiable and sustainable improvements to their supply chain operations.

“CSCMP’s sponsorship of the Supply Chain Innovation AwardTM is critical for continuing to advance our field.  The presentations by the award finalists at the Supply Chain Innovation AwardTM Track at the CSCMP EDGE Conference is always one of the highlights of the conference.  Not only are the judges and attendees able to see leading-edge innovations, but also each presentation offers key takeaways for implementing these innovations.”  Judy Whipple, Chair, Research Strategies Committee and Professor of Logistics/Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University

“These incredible innovations are the result of the work of some of the brightest and most creative minds in our industry. It is a privilege to share these stories and award our winners, helping to create dialogue and spur ideas that will move our industry forward,” said Brad Berger, Group President and Publisher of SupplyChainBrain.
